This is aew jr, by the way. I dunno how many of you remember me, but I sure remember a lot of you! 
I'll be around as much as I can, mostly to terrorize Mom and inject random, snarky comments into the conversation. It's good to be back!

Hi, BF! Yeah, you're one of the familiar faces (names?) I was talking about, haha.
Yeesh...my username is a mouthful. It's "murder your darlings" with the vowels taken out, and I use it on a few different sites. I just never pronounce it out loud, I guess.

Oof, you people. "Murder your darlings" is an editing term which means "take out all the unnecessary stuff". I'm not a budding serial killer, just annoyingly literate.

Actually, I did know that. I have a writing teacher at college that uses that phrase a lot. "Murder your darlings" is actually a REALLY hard thing to
do. So don't worry, you're not the only annoyingly literate person around here.

I'm familiar with the concept - it's something of which I have to keep reminding myself - but although my professors preached economy of words, I
don't recall any of them using that exact phrase. I do recall one who said something to the effect of "kill the sacred cows", though.

My old username was Jujubae, but as that was a nickname from when I was, oh, twelve, I decided to give it up. Since mrdryrdrlngs is a bit difficult to say (and type, really, unless you're used to it) just stick with aew jr. I respond to it just as readily and take it as quite the compliment, honestly. Speaking of, Mommy Dearest, keep in mind that any strange behavior I display is entirely your fault. You raised me, after all.

Nice to hear that you take aew Jr. as a compliment. That, in turn, compliments your mom.
When I first went to work where my father had worked for years, everyone called me by his name, adding "Junior" to it. They were kidding, but I didn't mind at all. When I got moved into the office, some of them felt they needed to drop that and call me by my proper name. I actually regretted that, even though they meant it as respect.
